How to Build your VPS Server

If you’re reading this article, then you’ve just purchased a VPS with RackGenius. Now you need to get it up and running. Let’s get started!
- Log in to our VPS control panel at vps.rackgenius.com. Not sure how? Click THIS.
- Select the Servers tab and then click Manage on your server.
- Give your server a name, or let the random generator come up with one for you.
- If your server needs a hostname, put that in and select your Timezone in the drop-down list.
- Now the fun part – selecting the Operating System you would like to install on your VPS! There are many options here, including Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian, CentOS, and Windows-based Operating Systems.
- If you choose a GNU/Linux-based OS, then you will get the option to add an SSH key. We highly recommend that you do this for security.
- Select Install, and your server will begin installing! After it is ready, you’ll receive an Email from [email protected] containing your login details.
