How to Update your BeamMP Server

This article explains how to update your BeamMP server on RackGenius.

Steps to Update

1. Create a Pre-Update Backup

   • Log in to the RackGenius Game Control Panel.

   • Stop your server to avoid any data loss.

   • Go to the Backups tab.

   • Click Create Backup and name it something like pre-update.

   • Wait for the backup process to complete before continuing.

2. Delete the Old Server File

   • In your control panel’s File Manager, locate the file named BeamMP-Server.

   • Click the three dots next to it and choose Delete.

   • Confirm the deletion.

3. Reinstall the Server

   • Once the old file is deleted, go to Settings.

   • Select Reinstall Server.

   • Confirm the reinstall when prompted.

   Note: Your mods and configurations will remain intact after the reinstall.

4. Start the Server

   • After reinstallation completes, start your server from the control panel.

   • The BeamMP server will now run the latest version.

Verification

After startup, open the console or check the log to confirm the version number matches the latest release.
