How Do I Connect Via IP Instead Of Alias? Print

Players may wish to connect to their server through the given IP address rather than our alias. (ex. MI1.snakecrafthosting.com) This guide will show you how to find your server IP address and port number so you can connect that way instead.

For Non-Dedicated IP Address

1. Navigate to cp.snakecrafthosting.com and login.
2. Click your server name.
3. Select Configuration under Server Management.
4. Select the Allocation Settings drop-down. Your available IP Addresses, Alias, and Port numbers will appear.
5. The IP address/port with Primary next to it is the address that your server is hosted on. For example, if your server IP/port is 192.168.2.1:25667 you would put that address into Minecraft to connect to your server.

For Dedicated IP Address

1. Navigate to cp.snakecrafthosting.com and login.
2. Click your server name.

If you have paid for a dedicated IP address, it will appear in My Servers next to your server name. You can use this address without the port number to connect to your server. (ex. 192.168.2.1)
