What is a Schedule?
Scheduling is a very useful feature that is offered through our Control Panel. It allows for automating many tasks in your server, including backing up, broadcasting messages, and automatic restarts.
How to Create a New Schedule
- Navigate to our Control Panel at cp.snakecrafthosting.com and login.
- Select your server.
- Select Schedules and click the Create Schedule button.
- Name the schedule whatever you want, select the days of the week. (put a * if you want every day of the week/month)
- Set a time that you would like the scheduled action to happen. If you need more information, select Show Cheatsheet for examples. NOTE: The time is listed in 24-hour time.
- Click the blue Create schedule button.
How to Add Tasks to Schedules
- Click on the schedule that you just created and select New Task.
- Here you can define multiple actions, offset time so the task doesn't execute immediately, and add a custom Payload to deploy.
- Once you have defined all fields, select Create Task.
As we can see here, our test schedule is working!
P.S. – If you end up scheduling a restart, you will want to schedule a server message (or three) a few minutes before the restart so players are aware that a restart is happening. You can broadcast a server message by typing say server is restarting in 5 minutes! in the With Payload field.
