How To Enable/Disable 2FA On Our Control Panel Print

  • 0

Want to add extra security to your account on our control panel? This guide will walk you through that. We highly recommend 2FA on your account.

Enabling 2FA

  1. First, you need to have a two-factor authentication app downloaded on your (mobile) device. We recommend "Authy" as it has multi-device support making it harder to get locked out.
  2. Open the Control Panel by going to https://cp.rackgenius.com/. You might need to log in to continue.
  3. Now, select Account in the sidebar or click https://cp.rackgenius.com/account to go directly to your account.
  4. Then Click Enable Two-Step.
  5. A QR code will appear after some time. Use your authentication app to scan the QR code. Please consult your authenticator app instructions if you get stuck.
  6. Once you have done that, your authentication app will display a 6-digit code that will change every 30 seconds.
  7. On the panel, if you scroll down a bit, you will see a place to input your password. Please do that first to allow yourself time to enter the 2FA code before it changes.
  8. Now, enter the 6-digit code and click Enable.

Success, you now have 2fa enabled on your Control Panel account!

Disabling 2FA

  1. Open the Control Panel by going to https://cp.rackgenius.com/.
  2. Now, select Account in the sidebar.
  3. Click Disable Two-Step
  4. Enter your account password into the popup, then click Disable.
